First Question, can someone explain how the mass "reporting" of a person works in regards to chat muting?   Is it automatically implemented by the system once 5, 10, or 20+ people "report" you?  Or is it sent to a "chat moderator" who lurks in the shadows and reviews the reports as judge/jury/executioner to decide whether or not the communication was worthy of muting?  :bolt:

Secondly, if the muting process is manual, was what was said truly worthy of a mute?   If so, not being able to call out for supplies via text goes along with the punishment provided.  If you had been innocent and wrongly muted, take it to HTC for review and I'm sure they'd fix you right up and spawn camping can continue! Yay!  :uhoh

Yes

However, if HTC find's out (which is quite easy to do) the feature was being abused they will punish the mass reporters.

point is not that he got 133 kills camping,  most of us give up way before then as it is boring as hell, we curious about if the mass reporting was warranted.  if it wasnt then he should bring it up to ht and they will punish those who mass reported him.  that's how it should work.

Many of you don't understand. While Fester was really complaining about being muted falsely of other wise getting the 133 kills is one of the things he does. Fester has some of the longest if not THE longest kill streaks in the game. I think one of them is over a hundred kills in a plane with out a single death while still maintaining a good kill per hour number meaning he didn't just pick and run, he fought it out.

Due to being muted he only had one option to try and get supplies to continue his run, use the BBS. Ya'll can go on and on about him doing his streak, but everyone of you spawn camp, tho none of you do it as well  :P

I don't see why you guys are hating on him for "camping". If someone is STUPID enough to up over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over only to get blasted, then they deserve to give him the kills.

If I had checked the forum in time, I would have been there.

As for the squad that got you muted - karma will get them. What they did is BEYOND childish.

 If the mass reporting was indeed an attempt at circumventing the rules (ie=cheating) then HTC has a policy that they should be contacted. Not to argue your accusation on these boards. It's either a cheating thread or a look at me thread.

imagine if you will...

you're in an expensive perk tank and want to rtb or exit but you can't because enemy tanks keep coming non stop.

you can't move because your missing a track.

you're stuck out in the open after dodging a string of lancaster bombs.

you can't communicate in any way because some fail squad you massacred decided they would get you back by spam muting you.

you are running out of ammo.

a jeep just upped and asked people who needed supplies... you can't reply and watch them drive past you to another player some distance away.

another 30 kills... wish you could have rtb'd 50 kills ago.

14,000 perk points  stored up but for some reason you still hate losing perks.

out of frustration you resort to posting a stupid need supply thread on the BBS.

15 minutes later your finally dead to a b26 formation dropping everything they had on your tank.

you post once more saying nevermind do not need supplies and post a screenshot of why you wanted them.

you would have been happier with 50 kills landed instead of 133 and blown to hell.
