Cutting the fat (Pointless arenas)
« on: April 30, 2012, 10:22:04 AM »
Early War, Mid War and WW2 arena's should be removed and such modes relegated to custom/h2h arenas.

Thoughts?

How do they impact your gameplay in any fashion?

You obviously don't fly them. I don't drive your car so I think you should take the Bus.  :D

I assume you mean AvA? We would object to this because while we don't have a consistently large population, we do have a following and have some very fun nights in there.

Further we would be a perfect test bed for game developments such as formerly Combat Tour elements that eventually come on line.

I want what he's having.

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

How would it improve Aces High to disenfranchise the folks who do actually use all of those arenas?  Do you somehow imagine that taking them away would force those folks into Late War instead of driving them away entirely?

I have no more desire to continue this thread.

I posted it looking for a communal feedback but faced with HT's direct attention I resign further commentary.

Even if that would happen by (illusionary) 100%, the effect on the LW arena would be hardly notable at all.  :old:

well what are you looking for? if you fly in the MA it's there for you to fly in, how are the other arena's distracting from your enjoyment?

So now that Hitech has asked a question you will abandon the thread.

Here is a suggestion for you, never post again, just in case Hitech should post in it. This way you no longer waste anyone time.

This and...

well what are you looking for? if you fly in the MA it's there for you to fly in, how are the other arena's distracting from your enjoyment?

...this.

The arena's you are questioning do not an any way hinder the servers.  I doubt it would hinder the servers even if they had a lot of people in them either.  If they were causing a strain on them, then HiTech would upgrade them to better support, not get rid of the option for people to fly in specific-ish time periods. :aok
