Very beautiful artwork indeed!!!

It's funny, because that's my current mission now: Protect the ICBM's at Malmstrom AFB.

I'm not going to lie, while I love the Air Force, I am not a fan of the ICBM's. For Security Forces, it means a world of agony at times, like sitting security for a site at -25. Or spending up to 5 days out in the "missile field", without the benefit of deployment pay thats awarded to other career fields when they spend the same amount of time from home, approx. 6 months out of the year.

Shoot, all I wanted to do as a cop was patrol work and gates, then deploy here and there. None of those happen a nuke bases.

But on the flip side of things, it's driven me more than ever to get my education done so that I can hopefully commission and go on to flight school, ALO, or hell back as a SF officer somewhere.

USAF2010, I remember having to send you guys out in the cold for hours on end to guard those sorties for an IZ or OZ alarm that wouldn't reset.  The guys in the capsule know what you are doing, and how very important it is.  Next time you are on duty at a MAF, ask the Capsule Crew if you can get a tour in the LCC.  I did that for my security cops when I was on crew.  I felt it built cohesiveness between our two organizations.
You and I know that being a Security Policeman is one of the toughest jobs in the Air Force.  Horrible hours and conditions, slow advancement and really tough tests for getting promoted.
This is one of those jobs that doesn't get the glory, but when all is said and done, there are a lot of people you may have never met who count on you to do the job you do, every time you do it, and 100% correctly every time.
Good luck to you, and thanks.  You are doing a great job.
