My son saw my post this morning and yelled..."DAD now we have to sell my rifle and ammo?!?!" To which I replied; "Thats a negative ghostrider!" His mother almost fell out of the chair at the breakfast table she was laughing so hard.

In never ceases to amaze me that people will believe that the universe cares about whatever system humans come up with the measure it or whatever fantasy they ascribe to it.

The universe doesn't care and will keep on following the same rules it has for the last 14,000,000,000 years or so.

Hey! the Mayans didnt knew about the "end" from the start, it took them some years studying the stars until they found the "end" date!  ;)
The statement below is true.

Y'all do realize, of course, that any government is going to debunk such a theory of the end of the world.

A populace with no hope is unmanageable and chaos will ensue as the time nears.

It's really in everybody's best interest that you don't know the end is here until it actually happens.

why I never got sucked into the the whole "We wont be here December 22, 2012!!!!!" stuff. Are we truely going to know when the world ends? no. why should it matter? Because people need something to hype about and fix something that isnt broken....

I don't know what to believe about crop circles  but some are huge very complex impossible to make overnight even with laser and GPS, here is video recorded 15-20 years ago, nobody could prove this is fake; UFO printing crop circles;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M6vP8-SbU0

back to 2012;
This guy has been studying crop circles for many years and  believes something is going to happen next week May 20th during the solar eclipse until June 6th when Venus is going to eclipse the Sun;
This video is old, 2007, but ever since this guy keeps talking about May 20th 2012; BS or not, i don't know, but some of the crop circles clear shows the Sun/eclipse in the middle; Also he said in one of his recent  presentations "if something is going to happen in 2012, the Sun is going to be responsible".
recorded in 2005

Agreed. But that fact can also be a bit sadening at times; I mean unless something changes, the universe is going to end in cold, empty, darkness. Hell, it won't even end, it'll just keep expanding and expanding untill there's uncounted light years between each atom or partical.

Not to make it religious or anything, but education has corroded my faith, and at times I find myself missing that blind certianty. Not that I begrudge my education, but I wish I could have both  :bhead.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

There will always be clumps of matter, but eventually the heat death of the universe will occur and those lumps of matter will be nothing but cold and inert debris.

I don't care what anyone says, I'm still going to have an end of world party on the 21st of December.  :cheers:

As for Ghi's suggestion that 'something' will happen next week, well bring it on!

I for one am fed up that none of the doomsday scenarios have ever come to pass. It's so boring. I wish something would happen :mad:
