Sunlust,
You can ask around all you like but I doubt it's an issue with the game.
It's more likely it;s a problem with your controller, the pitch and roll axis are controlled by halon devices and are pretty reliable. There is a magnet mod that can be done to the X52 that is supposed to make the stick work better.
Try googling x52 magnet mod for further instructions if your interested.
The other problem common to the x52 is the wire between the throttle and JS,if you dont have the HOTAS fastened down and the wire secured it can come loose and cause all kinds of problems from buttons not fuctioning to loosing calibration etc.
I suspect if you're having unwanted inputs that you should check the yaw axis, the rudder is operated with a potentiometer and it can go bad.Saitek has a drive that is supposed to fix this but it didnt fix mine and I resorted to rudder pedals and disabled the twist rudder. Select the axis the check advanced box, look at the "raw" and "scaled" windows as you move the rudder through it whole movement. Do the lines both go all the way to top and bottom? Do they return to center? Is there any jumping movement or otherwise? If the axis is functioning properly it should show full travel top to bottom and return to center with out any jumping or bouncing.
Oh and it's normal if you see a slight delay between "raw" and "scaled" as thats caused by the amount of dampening and deadpan you have. If you find thats the issue, you could try to correct it with some adjustment to dampening and deadpan but my experience tells me that if it's a bad pot. no amount of adjusting will totally solve the problem.
