As the target command is, you have to face north to make use of the target.
In a forward firing gunned aircraft that's fine. A bit cumbersom offline with bombers to test gun positions. Nearly usless for testing manned guns and GV. I'm proposing an update to the target command to allow changing where the center of the target is spawned.
New Target Command: .target (yd) (0-359)
(0-359) is a compass heading so that you can move the target around bombers while testing gun positions. Or to set the target to a clear feild of fire for 2000-5000 yards to test manned guns and GV guns.
I was thinking of asking for an elevation function for manned ack gun use "only" to help in learning the 37mm, 17lb and the 88 to understand the amount of elevation needed to drop the round into a target higher than your gun position. Besides shooting at aircraft, many GV bases have hills and mountains next to them with enemy spawns. The (ft) part of the command would be usable independant of the (yd)(0-359) functions to adjust elevation after setting the distance with manned guns.
New Target Command: .target (yd) (0-359) (ft) or condition linked sub command: .target (ft)
Practice makes perfict.
