You just never know who you're flying past
« on: May 21, 2012, 07:53:31 AM »
Yesterday a friend and I went up for about forty minutes or so, as he wanted to get a little stick time before his flight review. We ended up landing at an airport about 20 miles north of our home field. Upon announcing we were departing runway 23, a Falcon called a 5 mile final for 5. We passed them with no issues and headed back to our home field.

My friend later learned (and told me) that Tony Blair was in the Falcon. He came to Maine for a college's commencement. I thought it was pretty neat.

He flew up from Teterboro, and was taken back to Heathrow yesterday night.

I am going to ask.  Is this the same Tony Blair in England?

That's pretty dang cool. If it had been our king you wouldn't hav flown within 30 miles of him in a little terrorist airplane.

Yes, they were obviously both terrorists and a threat to the King.
