I should also add that both the single player campaigns are very well done and seem pretty lengthy. You will find yourself climbing the ranks as you progress. Both are set in the same battle with "For the Fatherland" putting you in the shoes of a German rifleman. You'll find yourself trying to halt seemingly endless waves of Soviet soldiers from trenches and other dug in areas.

"For the Motherland" will see you play the role of a Soviet sub-machinegunner and is a fast paced campaign that puts you on the attack.

Multiplayer is also good. There are many game modes from capture the flag, co-op scenarios, team eathmatches to giant aerial furballs with up to 40 aircraft.

There is an option on the main meni for "expansions" so DLC is almost definitely assured.

Steam has it for $26.99 so I bought it. BF3 was such a let down, let alone COD, that I'll never pay that kinda money for a game again. In BF3 there are so many ways to get your tank killed you feel like they are ziplock baggie tanks, use once and throw away. ARMA's are good games but I never had that kinda time to put into a sim like that and my main interest is WW2 anyway. A Sunday and it'll probably take all day to download but I'll give Iron Front a try. It'll be kind of nice to play an eastern front game.

I've not had this problem yet but I have done in the past with ArmA II. It tends to be because your system is overstressing on a certain process. Try toning down the graphics a little (even if you have a great computer).

I've spent most of my time in the editor making up my own little scenarios. Good fun.

Been fiddling with it all afternoon.  Crashes happen regardless of video settings.  I've tried the absolute lowest settings it offers.  By the way, I easily run games like Skyrim and Rise of Flight with very high settings.  This game is buggy apparently.  Too bad really, seems like it might be fun if it was playable.

Actually World of tanks is putting in a better physics engine in the upcoming updates where you can flip over and be rammed off the sides of cliffs or if your just stupid you can fall down them :D

From what I hear, not a whole lot people play multiplayer on it. So it's going to be co-op and SP mostly. If you want realistic WW2 action, try Red Orchestra 2. The GOTY sale just ended but IMO, it's still worth it. Lots of fun, graphics are decent but not great. Realistic bullets, physics, tank model. My only complaint is the animations are either jittery or laggy when looking at other players. It doesn't affect gameplay but it's somewhat of an eyesore. Gameplay is a 10/10 though and more than make up for it.

Me and Dolby went on a rampage the other day in a tank (you can man a tank with other players) and took turns driving and manning the guns. Fun stuff.  :aok

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Both Red Orchestra games are great, I did enjoy playing them but they are a little limited in what you can do.

Here's a little more Iron Front for anyone who cares.

If anyone wants to play RO2 with me and some friends, let me know.

Steam: maddog4u31757

I love me some RO2 and with the new patch - @_@

I pre-ordered RO2 when it came out.

As far as the game goes bug-wise. You guys need to chill. The game is fresh. Hell, even AH has bugs in every patch. Give them some damn credit.

Will do, add myself too. Steam: Warinstar

But I only play only classic and some times realism, never bothered with action.
