Creating a game Studio
« on: May 24, 2012, 07:45:33 PM »
Ever since my encounter that I'm going through with film making and design. I feel as if I have certain advantage for story and structure, that you wouldn't normally have when first getting started in creating a game studio. Now I'm probably just gonna do the traditional type in code and shoot the 2D ghost that pops his head up kinda game. However wanna go somewhere else with this. Now I had a great idea for a video game, and never before had anybody really created a game like what I wanted. (Magical Flying Ponys)

Backing off from that misfortunate distraction that we all just went through. I plan on creating a video game, it will be a long haul but I'll get it done. If any of you have any advice on the subject, such as getting a good engine for prototype design or maybe good graphic sites. Such as http://www.turbosquid.com/ or http://www.blender.org/. Anyway I plan on going as far as I can possibly go in this realm of code and graphics.(Not far) Wish me luck fellow marines.

Advice:  Don't try to raise funding by asking for investors on this forum.   It will end badly for you.

That's what I got http://www.kickstarter.com/ for, so basically that's bull. I hopefully far as I am aware, never asked for money.

You apparently haven't been around long enough to know the stories.

Best of luck with your project!   :salute

Cool :)

One of the things that struck me as I wandered thru my career in 3d game art ..

..a lot of people have great ideas.

The hard part is actually making the game viable.
Bare minimum is a good coder and a good artist.. and the time, tools, and place to make it happen.
