No, PFactor .. just never had the time-money to find a Pod and have at it.

From all I read about 'em I would have been there all day just jammin for sure :)

As it was, when Dirk the Daring came out I took the family to the local arcade
and told 'em not to bother me for a few hours while I dumped a bucket of quarters into it ..
..I 'get into' video games and ya .. the Pod Mechwarrior thing would have sucked me in big time :)

Oh!  I remember that well!  That was one of the first games that took two quarters to play at the local arcade.  There was a line and a crowd watching for weeks after it first appeared.

Count me in, if you guys don't mind another!  Think the group will go Merc?  Or one of the Houses?

bah! Clan. Clan Wolf, Ghost Bear, or the defunct Jade Falcon (preference anyway.)

As long as I can have my 100ton Dashi with twin Gauss Rifles and a pair of LB-10(X) Auto cannons(linked fire) I'm set

Clan endo steel and Ferro Fiberous Armor with Clan Double Heat Sinks and a Clan targeting computer.... Just wish they'd bring back the LAM's....

Still waiting here for invite.

We have a fairly small group of ex AH pilots over in WOT that will probably move over.
I spent some time the last couple of months playing MW4 Mercs getting ready.

Looking hard at founders Pack.

Zexx I don't think your going to see clan stuff anytime soon. I'm sure it will happen eventually though.

Hey, I just had an idea for those of us that haven't got our beta invite yet.

Perhaps some of you should hook up at the MW4: Mercs server. I know the game is littered with hacks, but it would give you a chance to have a little fun while we eagerly anticipate MWO.

Got in the beta about a week ago. Even with only team death match right now, it's pretty awesome!

Looks like these are the Minimum System Requirements for MWO:

CPU:
Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz
Athlon II X2 245e
GPU:
GeForce 8800GT
Radeon HD 5600/5700
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Windows Vista 32-bit
DirectX: DX9
HDD Space: 4 GB

Guess I won't be playing after all since I'm still running XP (among other shortcomings). Oh well.

 :(

Back to this...  :airplane:

My comp is built for XP.

I haven't got the RAM for 7.

Nor do I have the vid, proc, or anything else for that matter.

I work my buns off for non computer type stuff. Fancy rigs are out of my scope of priorities.

Eventually I'll be up to MWO standards, but I'm not pressing for it.

Talk to some of the Guru's over in the Hardware section of the forum.  Those requirements aren't that extensive.  The CPU, GPU, Motherboard, and OS to run that should only be around 400$ Total if you put it together yourself and you have all the periferals. (Speakers, case, keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc.)

You should be able to save your HD and cd drive and possibly your ram, but 4 Gb of Ram is only around 50$.
If you keep your hard drive you can get the Windows 7 upgrade license for half the cost of a new OS. (99$)

You'd be surprised how good a computer you can build for not all that much money. (Especially compared to buying one from the big sellers.)
