On a use basis the B-26 is pretty high up on the list of aircraft needing to be updated, probably second, behind the Lancaster and ahead of the Bf110s.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the B26 now the oldest model in AH, dating back to the 1999 beta?

No, the Japanese plane from beta was the N1K2-J.

Ki-61 was added sometime around v1.05 or v1.06.
