This apply perfectly here. I didn't know Nath, but if his comments were that fashion, there is no way at all I could be offended by him.

As I posted in another another thread, this game is one of my most valuated source of entertainment. In this regard, I could care less if a good stick is banned. The difference between "good" and "bad" pilots lies not in their K/D, K/T, K/Ammo or whatever other ratio where K is involved, but wether he makes this game a more enjoyable experience or the opposite.

I've suffered Nath's "social sills" and, while I regret he can not perceive where are the limits, I'm firmly conviced that experiences like this one are a valuable asset that will be useful for him in the future.

I can not say I am personally sad about Nath departure from this game. I do not care at all. But I bet that the average ranting on open channel will be substantially less. And this is, IMO, good for the rest of us.

I don't know if I will be the next on the ban list but, on seeing part of the incident live on ch1, I am sure that If Htc. ban me, they will have enough solid reasons to do that. Nath pushed the limit just too far. And he pushed it not in this incident alone, but on his dayly behaviour in the Arena and in this BBS.

Now it's about time we move on, and keep the good flying....well, in my particular case, I'll do my best to keep the flying, to start with. Let alone it be "good".

I am really happy TOWD is gone; not because that shandebleur thing Santa is saying, but because he really was a setback to the comunity, not because his dumb personallity, but because his hacking accusations were a VERY REAL threat to HITECH-CREATIONS.
I had seen the guy EXPLAIN newbies how Citabria hacked his flight model. THAT ISNT RIGHT..

But Nath.. please.. all HT could have done is ban him temporally, send him and email or a phone call with an ULTIMATUM, and its all fixed.

Nath was my MORTAL enemy for many months, I completly hated him and wanted him out, until I realized I was the fool for falling for his trolling, now I knew how those chute shotees felt when I plastered them, in the past two months we eeriely became sort of pals (I expect some flaming from my squad for this) and I got many laughs from his twisted sense of humor.
The guy has a enfuriating personality, i know. But I dont see it as a threath to HTC, if a newby comes here and gets "0wn3d" by Nath, that newby will quickly realize that there was only one nath and that he doesnt represent the comunity; unless that newby was going to generalize and in that case, I'd rather see him gone.

I'm not gonna question HT's judgement over this, I dont think he kicked nath because he didnt liked him, I think he kicked him to set an example. But I am perfectly sure a phonecall or even an email would have worked perfectly. That sort of thing would have NOT worked with TOWD, cause he has no brain cells, but it would have worked with Nath, cause hes a relatively intelligent kid.

Oh, and to those who thought of him as a turbolazer whiner, go look at the aircraft forums, the guy ALWAYS came with numbers and textwork on why he thought something was right or wrong. You dont see that EVER from the other whiners who just say "THIS IS ALL DONE TO GET RID OF THE LUFTWAFFE PILOTS HITECH HATES US THIS SUCKS THIS SUCKS I WILL KILL YOU".

I am playing Devil's Advocate, so is Zig, but we have different arguments. And if you think Ive always been Nath's best pal, always buddy-roos, well go search for other threads to see how good friends he and I used to be. We literally hated each other.
It in fact was Nath who came to me on a private channel asking to chill out.

Glasses stop trying to put words in my mouth and drop the roadkill, I never said I was happy with HT banning Nath, what I said in the other thread was that it was a funny situation. It was a good-bye thread to Nath, that some people turned it into something else, not my problem.

Nath was tryin hard to get kicked and he did, I feel sorry for it because quite frankly, I didnt want it to happen, but he just kept trying till it happened.

If HTC is going to be cracking down on the community, I'd be willing to bet we'll see a lot of people either start holding their tongue on channel 1 or just not be here anymore.


Either way, what I personally would like is to only see friendly banter on the open channel. No one wants to watch a 'tard fight. I hope that Nath and Towd's recent exit from the game will show the others who frequently act like morons that their way is definitely not hitech's way. a serious example is SOB and I were playing out an inside joke, we shot each other down and dramatized a whine on channel 1. Soon it escalated into a very big thing. Go see my other thread to see what I'm talking about.

Face it, many people are not good sports. And you cant come and ban everyone who doesnt like very much to get killed and gets vocal about it.

I personally like channel 1. lots of weird things going on there. I was just having a very interesting video card conversation with Skuzzy, Im sure many people missed out on it because they had 1 squelched. I think everyone should just play the damn game with an open mind.
I too get very silly and start doing things on channel 1. I dont take myself seriously, but other people do. I dont care. But if I get banned because of it, that would really suck.

However, I dont like at all when someone starts calling everyone cheaters, and badmouting HiTech's programing skills (and I am not talking about nath, its that other guy they kicked) THATS the kind of people they should get rid of, because they cause real damage to the company.

Face it, this is HiTech's company. He is not running a goverment, he is running an online sim. its WAY out of line to go on to personal attacks towards him, even calling his company the 'Gestapo' trust me, if it was my company and someone makes that comment, he would be gone FOR GOOD. When someone does something that could jeopardize the credibility of the company, it is smart to do something about it. Nath did a bad move. I was there and saw it. Too bad, but it was his choice to say what he did said and the way he said it.

Enough players squelch you and it goes global.  Think about it....some dweeb spamming away all the usual BS....and nobody sees it.

Would save HT the trouble of banning mouthy little dweebs and spare the rest of us from having to listen to them.  They still get the satisfaction of pounding on the keyboard, just not at our expense.

Maybe just a arena setting that could be set "disable all text from xxxxx".
