cut67 sounds like someone who would benefit in perks for crashing his plan every "set hour" into a target, rest of us...not so much.

LOL i read that and I figured the post was more about an easy 10 perks more then anything else. if thats what you wanted you should've just asked for 10 perks every 24 hrs. the kamikaze was just so he didnt seam that desperate

If Hitech lets this become reality- It should only be a A6M and only as lethal as a 500lb bomb. Enough to take out some field ack but not enough to sink a ship or take down a hangar.  They were not that lethal in WWII, the jap planes were too light to do any substantial damage to the US Navy.  A 4,000lb aluminum aircraft does not have the mass to to pierce the steel armor of a ship.

According to a U.S Air Force webpage:

Approximately 2,800 Kamikaze attackers sunk 34 Navy ships, damaged 368 others, killed 4,900 sailors, and wounded over 4,800. Despite radar detection and cuing, airborne interception and attrition, and massive anti-aircraft barrages, a distressing 14 percent of Kamikazes survived to score a hit on a ship; nearly 8.5 percent of all ships hit by Kamikazes sank.

You would think this, but really they just haven't thought of their idea through 100%. Kamikazes is close to being one of the dumbest ideas I've read so far.

Imagine FSO, taking off to fly for up to an Hour - just to suicide into a ship, you don't get to release your bombs and pull out, you actually have to slam into the ship.

How many are going to go for it? Lets look at the MA - people already Kamikaze P51's into carriers all day long, whats the difference? 10 perks? Take up a higher eny aircraft and kamikaze into a ship. BAM!

True that. Though I suppose one could make the ships invulnerable to bombs which have travelled less than say 3000-5000ft to prevent the Lancstuka Kamikazes?

Should that ever come to pass, what Id like to see next is the auto detonating 5" on the CV group changed to the normal 88mm style weapon (manual ranging), to at least give torpedo bombers and PT boats a chance at doing their jobs in the AH skies.

Just a note, but the proximity fuses are historical for late war environments.
