I have used rockets to detrack a tiger2  before but this one was so loaded up with gv supplies that it was pretty much futile trying to kill the tiger2 as it can not be one shot with 37mm and simply repairs once you smoke its turret or detrack it.

its rare to catch a tiger2 not concrete sitting surrounded by gobs of supplies most of the time.

There are a lot of people in GVs that has bundle of supplies to saved thier azz.

tiger2 while a moving pillbox with a big gun was a lot lower rate of fire and is also vulnerable to being flanked just like any other tank. not to mention when someone says tiger2 everyone starts looking for it (myself included).

they have the ultimate jerk tag as the most expensive perk tank and are also bomb magnets.

about the most anyone will venture off base is panthers and tiger1's as they are not so expensive when lost which they almost always are.

Nice work.  That is a tough go, no doubt.  Now... use the Force and try the Hurricane IID.   :D

Outside of the easy-mode 1000lb bomb, the next best way to take out a Tiger II is with the Pb1 rockets from the 190F-8.  1 hit and up in smoke it goes.  :aok

I often times ran with a squadie in an M3 or SdKfz 251. He'd spot targets for me, keep an eye out on the flanks, and drop supplys.

Kilo2, I really do thank you. I know it wasn't always the most fun, but you were a great help in some of our counter-attacks, and were a great help to me personally  :aok.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

My dream is to kill a tiger2 with a SdKfz 251 but I've found that the rockets travel drastically shorter range when moving vs standing still.

Not sure why it's like that.

Now standard machine guns can track any vehicle.........if you hit them enough times meaning you can strafe a track off of a tiger tank with a D3a if you land enough hits.
