It has been a great 10 years, but all good things must come to an end. The bottom line is I have just lost interest in the game. No one made me mad, I just reached my peak and even old age and treachery couldn't make me better. I never thought I would ever lose the skills I had, once I gained them, but age is a great teacher about that as well. I have always been extremely competitive, and perhaps that is my downfall. At any rate, it is what it is.
To those of you who befriended me along the way, you may never know how much your friendship has meant, but it meant a lot to me. I leave knowing I will miss you guys...even the Republicans, and the guys who can't spell.
All of the Guys at HTC who built and maintain the high standards of this game, have really shone when it comes to customer satisfaction. This is still the best interactive historically based wargame out there, if not the best game overall.
I don't know if I will come back after a while...I just don't know. I survived the withdrawl symptoms of staying away (night sweats, uncontrollable shaking, PTSD, and etc.), but only time will tell if I will return.
Finally, to my friends and squadmates at Duxford: Thanks for everything fellas, you made staying as long as I did worthwhile.

Chair Flight
Oh, I have slipped the strangling bonds of real life,
and danced the skies on pixelated wings.
Upward I've climbed and tumbled in the mirth,
and been blinded by a sun that never sets - and done a hundred things, I cannot do.
Up, up I've climbed in the slowest climbing plane ever conceived,
and been caught by planes that have no right to fly that fast.
And, while with mumbled expletives I've cursed the incoming horde,
-Put out my hand and wiped whatever the hell that is off my monitor.
With sincerest apologies to John Gillespie Magee, Jr.
