I agree with Citabria/Fester, save for the fact that theres different possitions for the pintle gun and the tank commander. Although that would be solved if we got binoculars for the tank commander, and changing possitions just represented putting down the field glasses, and hopping on the gun.
The old tank system felt as if you were hastily scrambling from the driver's seat back to the turret after you put a brick on the accelerator, and jury-rigged some system of pulleys to let you steer from the gunner's chair by yanking on a rope.
The current system gives you the feel of taking on the role of the tank commander. You can order the driver to keep going, turn left, or stop, while simultaneously ordering the gunner to traverse the turret to the left, or fire. I mean the only even semi-gamey part is that you sorta take over the gunner's body when you jump to the turret, and even then it also half feels like nothing more than a switch of the camera shot in a movie, giving you a different view on an otherwise identicle scene.
