Do not get sugar gliders if you are a first time pet owner, trust me. My friend has a pair, and she says they are pretty high maintenance for animals their size, not to mention they bark at night a lot. A hamster really would be better, and also you should know that Sugar Gliders are actually illegal in a few states including California.

:lol Die to soon, and they aren't that cool looking, something I could carry with me would be awesome

I wanted one a while back, parents hate the idea of having a pet so I had to put it off, besides these appear to be cheaper than dogs, just a lot harder to keep entertained

Cali, Pen. Mass. and 2 others, I looked it up my state is fine with em. How though are the high maintenance? and hamsters like I said are unappealing to me and die to soon and don't do anything but sit around and gnaw on stuff

Well how do you know she's not alergic to a sugarglider?

Most people are alergic to the animals dander or skin flakes so she could be just as affected by the glider.

There are breeds of dogs that have less affect on alergic people, poodles, wheaten terriers, malteese and several others. Search a suitable breed and find a rescue dog.

It's a win/win thing, you get a pet and the dog gets a home and in the long run it will be cheaper for you as well.

You know I wanted a Beagle so bad for almost 9 years, but my dad doesn't want to have to take care of a pet, and my mom is a clean freak so no way it could happen, would consider a pet rat if they lived for more than 2 years and had some urine control
