Always wondered what the world series was in USA...and why the rest of the world did not participate.... :headscratch:

Not just baseball but many other sports. World Champion This or That but only Americans participating.

back on topic,

I'd go with Spain to beat Italy today.   I'm sure it will be full of drama and an Italian getting sent off or rolling around on the ground lots!!

Ireland have a good chance to get a result against Croatia with some experienced Premier league players in the twilight of their careers.

Spain looked good today.  We'll see.

Germany looks strong too.

Didn't get to watch Spain vs Italy. :(

Moved into a new apartment and I don't have cable, spent 30 minutes trying to find a site that would let me watch the game without attacking my computer. Interesting side note- I've come across several awesome secrets for enlarging my PP and found christian singles in my area. More on that later...

I had been pretty impressed with Germany's play until yesterday, but I won't totally turn on them for one lethargic performance. And since I have no stake in the games I began rooting for Portugal after the Gomez goal, because I thought the game deserved to tie.

I can't remember which announcer it was but pre-game was boasting about the "clinical" finishing of the Dutch. Hoho!

spain vs Italy was interesting,  Spain played with no strikers and never really looked like breaking down the Italians.   Torres should have scored one of his two clear cut chances at the end for the win.   A draw was a fair result.

croatia have been lethal infront of goal so far hoping for a few more goals either way.

love getting paid to sit and watch 3 hours of football   :D

Cracking diving header from Shay Given!  :devil

Someone tipped me that the Republic would get to the semis... Slightly misguided! Glad I kept my tenner in my pocket!

As for England, we may get out of the group but I really can't see us progressing.

Italy impressed me against Spain, I hope Torres has a good tournament as we need him to perform next season, a couple of chances missed but his movement was good.
