The best bet for the allies would be the Soviet ZSU-37, honestly...

But, the Skink DID see combat... it'd be awesome to see it live again as a perk vehicle...

Think the British mounted 40 mm Bofors on trucks during the war, but I don't remember what they were called.

The Morris C9B I believe... it would be good as well, but the ZSU-37 is more of a purpose built SPAAG, the Morris C9B is a Bofors slapped onto the bed of a truck hehehe

This would do it:

Crusader III AA MkI

Great Britan 1940-1943
Armor: 32mm
Range:  322 km.
Speed:  24-42 km/h (off-road/road)
Armament: Bofors 40mm AA Gun with an autoloader and powered mounting in an open topped turret.

Bofors 40mm AA Gun:

Caliber: 40mm
ROF:  120 rounds/min
Muzzle velocity: 881 m/s
Effective range:  12,500 ft
Maximum Range:  23,600 ft

The Bofors 40 mm gun is a famous anti-aircraft auto-cannon designed by the Swedish firm of Bofors. It was one of the most popular medium-weight anti-aircraft systems during World War II, used by most of the western Allies as well as various other forces. It is often referred to simply as the Bofors gun.  The gun fired a 900 g (2 lb) high explosive 40 × 311R (rimmed) shell.

Now that is interesting they even had a double & a triple 20 mm version of that as well. Nice find. :aok

Doesn't help the Allied tanks in Axis vs Allies settings.  Right now the Allied GVs have a much harder time with aircraft as the M16 is not nearly as effective as the Wirbelwind.

Not even the wirbelwind was as effective as our wirbelwind. It could only fire short 20rd bursts, and was NOT a single-ping-2K-out killer like in this game. In fact, with the utter whining of the GV isolationists, it's now deadlier than ever (no icons even when it kills you) simulating 20/20 vision for the gunners with no reloads and full fire, but simulating legal blindness for any plane it shoots down.

So that's a moot argument -- there's no need to match this vehicle for the allied side when it is an abomination to begin with!

The irony of the Wirbelwind is that it was replaced with the Ostwind because the Ostwind was found to be better.

Have to disagree with not having allied AA though.  The Crusader looks to be the best choice  :aok you can get three AA variants as well as a long over due British tank. A HTC plus I think when it comes to modeling a new platform.

As far as I can tell only four Skinks were built and only one of those saw combat (honestly, with only four built it is impressive that any saw combat).  The threat from the Luftwaffe vanished and with it the need for AA vehicles.  I understand it did well against enemy troops.

As has been said, the alleis really need something.  If there is nothing better, the Skink might be the perfect fit for the hole.

There was a variant of the M3, called the M15 "Special", that was outfitted with 40mm Bofar cannons.  Not sure how many served though and these were M3s that were field modded by US Army depots in Australia.
