raptors landing at Langley

I live a few miles from LAFB and I was on my way home when I saw some F22's in formation headed on final, so I parked and took out my phone and took this vid.
I found the F22 has a unique exhaust note. Kinda between a traditional fighter jet and those forest scooter thingys from Star Wars. Even at landing speeds these planes are LOUD!!!

Enjoy <S> fudmukkr :rock

the saddest and m0st pathetic thing to happen to the USAF in 65 years is the fact that only 187 F-22s will EVER be operational.

Usually get to see a few around Eglin and Tyndall AFB when I am cruising along the coast down in Florida. Along with the ubiquitous F-15's and Blackhawks, AC-130's, F-35 (from time to time) and now a bunch of former Soviet whirly birds dropping off and picking up commando types in the bay around Hurlbert.

The Soviet Helos are actually training Afghani Pilots, they spend 6 months flying here and 6 months flying in Afghanistan.

Been seeing more Chinooks and Apaches with the new army base though.
