Last game for this camp for the United States. If we win this, we'll have a good chance of winning our group and advancing to the last stage of qualifying for the World Cup. After this, the next game will be on Sept. 11 against Jamaica's Reggaeboyz.

Altidore is confirmed to not start for the U.S. due to lacking strong enough fitness, due to his club barring him going to Jurgen Klinsmann's camp for as long as they could.

USA v Guatemala, 10:00PM Eastern, 7:00PM PST

Canada v Honduras, 7:45PM Eastern, 4:45PM PST

Mexico v El Salvador, Don't know the times. (I couldn't care less about the Mexican National Team tbh, blame my girlfriend.)

Guatemala tough at home, first real test for Klinsmann.
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

I thought his first real test was Italy, however I would agree this would be his first test in a game that actually matters.

fifa bars team from stopping players from participating or training for the world cup or qualifying matches.  it must give players enough time also to train with their country's team.  that is to stop let's say italy from pushing an italian team to stop a french player from participating in a italy/french match.  or from having two countries collude and stop players that may affect each other's performance.  like Uruguay not giving time to a french player that will play against italy in return of italy not allowing a brazilian player than will play against Uruguay.

Yeah, can't stand teams doing that, but I think the reason why AZ Alkmaar held him was an attempt to prevent himself from getting injured. What it did was almost as bad.

My formula for success has always been; if the US can win in central america, it can do well in major tournaments.  So we shall see.

There really aren't that good of teams in central america. Then again, we did make it to the Round of 16 last world cup.

Costa Rica, Honduras and Jamaica are very tough teams at home.  95 degree heat and 95% humidity is a very tough result.
