8th AF Mission
« on: June 19, 2012, 09:27:31 PM »
Gentlemen and any Ladies out there reading this,

Thursday evenings, I'm going to be in the Late War Arena where I'll be conducting 8th AF bombing missions.  This open to all in the Scenario and any players in the arena.  The plan is simple.

Massive bombers with formations and escorts launch from best airfield possible.  This will be a long range mission so bombers will carry 75% fuel and escorts take DTs and plenty of internal fuel.

Aircraft will be B-17, B-24, P-51D, P-47D25, and P-38J

The flight path will be based on existing map conditions with penetration into one country for 2 targets and then into second country for 2 targets with RTB for landing at nearest friendly base.

Time: 7PM EST/6PM CST (USA)
Location: Late War Arena
Country: Bishop
Vox : Bombers (B17) 175
Vox : Bombers (B24) 176
Vox : Fighters (P-51) 177
Vox : Fighters (P-47) 178
Vox : Fighters (P-38) 179
Command Text : 180

Voc and Text may change once in the arena if a squad is currently using them.  Have paper and pen to write down any changes and for CO of each group.

Use local vox for chatter and vox channel for official use.

Would prefer any opposing players to come up in Luftwaffe aircraft specifically 109's and 190's.

Chuck Norris can pick oranges from an apple tree and make the best lemonade in the world. Every morning when you wake up, swallow a live toad. Nothing worse can happen to you for the rest of the day. They say money can't buy happiness. I would like the opportunity to find out. Why be serious?

If you plan on opposition, it would be helpful to know the country you are targetting. Being Bish, I need to switch, as will others from not only Bish, but the other non-targeted country personnel.

I'll be there with taters blastin'!

I believe I have the info you want in a general sense.  We'll be launching from Bishop side and entering Rook and Knight countries.  Which one is first is anyone's guess right now.

Don't want to give away too much info.  Operational security and all. :noid

Try to get many people up for this.  I'll be on one hour before getting the mission prepped.
