The 47 Ronin Withdrawing From AvA
« on: June 20, 2012, 11:42:11 PM »
Hi guys,
Just a heads-up that The 47 Ronin will no longer be attempting to
run ops on Tuesday nights in the AvA arena.
Tuesday night, at 9PM there were only 3 Ronin in there, and in total
an arena population of 11 pilots. (Including us)
The interest just isn't sufficient either by the rest of my squad or
the AH population in general to sustain ops in there on a regular
basis.
I wish to thank the AvA staff for their efforts and hospitality over
the course of the last 3-4 weeks and wish you guys the
best in your endeavors. <S>

:salute Ronin.  We couldn't make tuesdays but have been pulling in 5-10 from the Devil Dogs into the arena a couple nights a week.

This arena has a lot of potential and would like to see it thrive.

And all this just before the new release when we'll be scripting in regular AI bombing and jabo runs...
(meaning, the arena will always be active with lots of targets etc)
pity...

As soon as the next release is out and we learn how to do it. :)

Thanks for giving it a go, oddball.  Hope your squadron rules are not so rigid that some of your people (including you!) can't stop in now and again.  Had some really good fights with your crowd.

Hi Oldman,
Hehehehee. Hell, we ain't got any rules. For a short while, I thought the interest
was there as we had over 40 guys in the arena for the CV battle setup. But, the
next week, when only three guys from my squad showed up, and total arena
population at 9 Eastern was "11", I gave up.
I was a bit sad to see that most squad COs had no interest in pointing
some of their herds that way. Could have generated a lot more interest
I think.
In any event, seein' that my squad had lost interest in it in such a short
period of time, I tossed the pom poms away.
I might hop in there tonite and will pass the word to my herd.
Be well, and good hunting!

Best regards, Odd
