I don't hunt anymore. Do time really. Used to love it though.

Those that don't like it can go bowling or something else. :D

I understandf that the UK is  a cpl Islands, im just pointing out its a bit of the pot calling the kettle black,  Kill a fish with a bow or  with industrialzation and or taking away natural habitat its all the same thing.

Also better put a warning out to  Papua New Guinea , Hawa'ii and New Zeland to wave alot of thier biodiversity  bye-bye as  it cant live on a small island.

Your right its a bad thing and we should try not to do it,

There is a river by me that has those in it . They will not harm you . I have hand fished that river for 30 years and never had a problem with them . The thing you got to watch out for is snapping turtles and a snake every now and then but you will know if there is a fish in the hole or not by the feel of the sides of the hole . If it's slick there is a fish in it if not keep your hand out of it .

not sure what your talkin about with veganism...looking for a random argument maybe.
I have a organic beef farm
I shoot, fish and done my share of hunting...I dont shoot lions, kill marlins or other large beasts
to me because that fish was the largest pulled in, well its not there now and the next largest alive one is smaller..we lost a natural asset..

but killing things cos they are the biggest ever..
in my book and you agree, with what you have said by quoting species going extinct in Britain, is not the best move
just my thoughts in this ever decreasing world of natural assets.

its only my opinion any way.

Had no idea that the eggs are poisonous.  Might be a natural defensive mechanism from scavengers.
