We've got pictures of players and their vehicles - I figured it's time to share pics of your family that aren't quite human....though some of us have relatives that you wouldn't consider human that really are....>.> *I think one of my uncles is actually related to a wookie....*

I'll start.

This is, Sandy. First born of six. 3 boys and 3 girls.
She's 16 weeks old. Mother was half hound - half beagle, and the dad was a corgi.
She's one of three dogs (I'll post the other two later) that we have plus a cat.
We call her Sandy because her mother had dug a hole in the sand and you can guess the rest. We were able to move the mother into her dog house before she plopped the rest into the hole. :P

We got lucky. She was naturally potty trained, we didn't have to teach her "fetch" - she just does it lol, and it took 1 try to teach her sit, shake and kiss.
I was a little wary about keeping one of the puppies but I'm glad we did. I'm so darned attached to this pup. I won't lay down until she's in the bed with us.

Last Monday I had to put my black lab down. He had cancer which is fairly common in the breed.

He was getting old like me. He was a retired hunter, sharp on commands, my best friend.

I sure miss Zeke!

Yeah she sleeps with her tongue out for some reason.
I forgot some of her little "tricks" - all of which it took one try for her to learn.

She knows:
Sit
Shake
Kiss
Load up (Get in the car/truck)
Unload (Get our of the car)
Go bed (Go to bed, it's sleep time)
Come
And fetch.

That sucks. I don't know what I'd do if I had to put her down. It's been a long time since I've been this attached to an animal.
Her and my Husky are some of the only family I have left. I love the mama dog too, but she just doesn't click with me like those two.

My Lady:



We are trying to get her to Miami next week to spend the summer with the family there....I'll visit a couple of times throughout the summer.

American Airlines will not allow a dog to travel in the hold if the temperature at the destination is 82 degrees or higher so we bought the biggest tried and tested dog carrier for her to try and get her into the cabin.  It will be up to the person who is at check-in as to wether she will be able to go.

As a precaution I made a call to someone who works at a private jet company here and now have "feelers" out for any group who is flying on a private jet to South Florida who might be willing to take our dog.  Turns out there was one, but it was leaving today....Grrrrr.  We couldn't get organised in time.  Hopefully another will crop up.

Quite a girl, she may fly private while we all struggle in commercial economy class.

My 1st dog "Buck".....passed away from cancer 2004



My 2nd dog "Buck II"......passed away after being hit by a car 2009



This is "Bronco" now 5 yr's old



This is "Buster" now 2 yr's old

The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

  Sorry to hear this shuff,It's always tough to do but at least we make the call when they are suffering.

   I have an old girl that's healthy but has a touch of arthritis,when she's real stiff I give her 1/2 an aspirin and she seems to perk up. I know I don't have much time left with her so I tend to spoil her a bit more than the younger 1.

  The day she cant get up and move will be the day I say good bye to her,I cant stand to see them suffer.I hate it when owners are too selfish to put a dog down when it's suffering.  Lucky we have that choice with our animals,too bad we cant do the same with people!

I miss my blue(panceantitis got her),  still got an Old man ACD same black n white colors at the house he never went full blue for some reason. Have a ridgeback/pit/boxer/mutt mix i pulled from a kennel few years ago whos  tough looking but is an absolute sweetheart. i'll post some pics later.

I can say without reservation and in all honesty that some furkids (critters / pets whatever ya want to call them)
can be far better family than the regular 2 legged kind. We love them almost as much as the regular kids and get just as much back from them every day.

This is Lucy. She is in her stealth attack mode in the picture. She was a stray and had some health issues that we got her past in 02. She made a huge difference in our family life and fit right in when she got here. The most common description I used to tell folks about her was that she was 2.5 feet of dog and 3 feet of tongue. It almost never stayed in her mouth, ever. She knew exactly that her place to sleep was at the foot of the bed and would wait patiently for us to get up in the morning. Later on we ended up waking her up to get out of bed. She traveled with us from 04 until this month.

On the 4th of June we had to take her to the vet to be put to sleep. She had been going deaf for about a year, had other problems but hung in there. In May she started to go blind. She got an infection we were dealing with but then had a seizure and lost almost all of the rest of her sight. She couldn't stand being in the dark and quiet like that and pretty much just gave up. To stop her suffering, and in all honesty more to stop mine from watching her, we took her to the vet and held her when she went to sleep. I've gone to family members funerals and had less sadness by far. The worst was the way it got to the wife. The hardest thing I've ever had to do is take a pet to be put down. I sure wish someone could do the same for me when I get that bad in the future.

This is Hector. He's 11 now. I've had him since rescue at 6 weeks old. I have no doubt, had I not gotten him, I wouldn't be typing this right now.
