eyefinity users

How many of you are running triple monitors using eyefinity? I purchased my system with a 5970 so it has the eyefinity capabilities.  My only concern is the monitors .... I want something with a super small bezel since I am turned off by them. I've seen a system from Samsung but its like 1500 for it. Anyone know what a good option would be? I'm thinking of a range of 500-700$

I dont have eyefiniti didnt see myself spending 300+ bucks for it.  I still dont see what the advantage over 2 sli cards is.  I got another video card for 120 when it was on sale and bought another monitor.  all 3 of my monitors are from different brands and different heights.  I used magazines to make them the same height and "hid" the bezel from the side monitors behind the center one.  after a while you wont pay attention to the bezels.  but if you constantly keep looking at it, it will.  just look at it the same way I look at collisions.  nothing much i can do about when when I dont see the guy coming from behind.

i can run it with my 6950 and didn't have to spend that much to do it...even a 5770 will run triple monitors easily.

finding something affordable with an ultra thin bezel or no bezel is going to be very difficult. many of the sim racers i know have been buying led backlit acer, asus, samsung and hannsg. they just overlap the bezels so they only see 1 thin line.

I have one of this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009255 as well as a Dell. Got teh Dell for free, albeit being a slightly smaller screen.

The Acer Bezel is only 5/8" wide at most, not much to it. Very crisp quality and (from what I've seen) large for a 23". Extremely thin in thickness too. At the widest point of the monitor (with DVI hookup) I'm looking about 2" thick. Damn near shat myself when I got it in my hands and the box was a whopping 4" thick  :lol.

LG monitors are not really expensive and I know from experience that the display itself has a small edge frame about it. You could design your own mounting rather easily but then you would still have something like 1/2" (actually I think it would be something closer to 0.4") between the displays or about half of what they already are.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I might take a stab at this especially if i can grab a set for 150 a piece!  I've been running a 46" 1080p HD set for my monitor and my only complaint is the low refresh rate .... when my head starts moving around the icons scramble a little bit and I'm getting tired of it!  I knew I was going to set it up for eyefinity since I purchased the best card when i built my system!  I can't remember exactly what I have so I'm gonna look up my old thread!

I am using 3 Acer 24" monitors and I am hiding the bezels of the center one and hiding the outer screen's bezel.

I use Eyefinity with TrackIR. I use bezel compensation so they appear as window/cockpit frames instead of breaks in the display. I don't even notice the bezels unless I have to move my head a bit to see behind them. I tried overlapping bezels but that works best if you use hat views and don't move your head much..

I'm running a ATI 5970 graphics card with 3 24" dell monitors. Like you, I wanted ultra thin bezels but unfortunately the price was too steep and the selection limited as Samsung was the only company offering the ultra thin bezel and it was only available on their 30" monitors and bigger ($1,500 each).
Dell is always running sales on monitors and I was able to pick up the 3 brand new HD monitors for roughly $150 each. The 5970 card has a bezel compensation feature which allows the picture to pass seamlessly behind the bezels where you won't even notice them. I've also seen some people on Youtube purchase standard monitors and remove the frame in order to butt the screens up against each other. Not sure if you want to go to this trouble.
