CV COMMANDERS
« on: June 29, 2012, 06:14:07 AM »
CV COmmanders should be able to suspend fligth ops on a cv to prevent tards from lifting before a cv is in range of a strike.

This was proposed but only limits flight if a mission has been planned and pending launch.

It could probably still be gamed.

In many cases the person upping off a CV at the most inopportune moment is a new player. He is upping because he is new and he wants to take off from an Aircraft Carrier because it is cool and because the older experienced player never told him not to. Tell them not to take off because it gives away the CV and most times they get it and don't up. However some folks are just plain bones headed and will not listen to anyone no matter what. But it is their $14.95 and I guess if they want to fly off a CV at the wrong time that is how it is. But sometimes I do wish we could shoot these guys down with our 5in guns before they get off the deck.

instead of this, how abouts cv's cant get within 25 miles, or at least radar ring of a base? change the stupid lvt spawn distance so they can still reach shore, but keep cv's further away from bases..

then it wont matter if a tard ups from your stealth task group, it will be far enough away all that will show is a single bar.

:bhead I have said it before and I will say it again, "when someone takes control of CV AND posts mission off of same, no one should be allowed to take command until the mission launches". At best, you are talking about a 12 minute time frame that the CV is under the "posting" pilots name. After it launches, then it would be a "free" CV again! How about it Hi Tech? You can make this happen and it will improve the game!!!

+1 to this. At dar range, the Cv should seperate from the battle group (maybe orbits a 1mile by 1mile square?). Few destroyers stay behind to escort, Cruiser cruises on with a few destroyers to the damn shore line & guns range.

how about people who try and tell you not to up from a CV because it will ruin their armchair general master plan go jump off a cliff?  :old:

the CV isn't in the game just for you and your friends to use according to your own wishes
Did you see my dad on dogfights yet?

A 12 minute time frame when I can completely shut down flight operations just at the critical moment "WF, just need fighter cover from CV!" by simply posting a mission will indeed be a great improvement  :devil

+1 but at the same time -2
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

:furious When I post a mission the MLW arena, no one can take control of that mission but me! So why should anyone be allowed to screw up CV mission just for the hell of it.
Even with a mission posted, and the one who posted has control of CV, still does not prohibit you from taking off from CV and you are not listed in mission. Your implication is that if a mission was posted on a CV, it would render it useless to anyone else!! Not so, just like a mission posted from a field in AH, you would still be able to take off from the carrier, just not TURN IT, just to cause chaos during mission launch. Of course, judging by your attitude, you are not interested in helping to solving a problem, you just want to be a part of the problem.

So far your solutions create far bigger problems than those you are trying to solve.
