OK so it's all sorted now. Basically my mother was being scammed by some nigerian scumbags doing the military dating scam. They were posing as a captain at blackjack. She wouldn't believe me untill today when he asked for £400 refundable money to pay his airfare to come over and see her...Then she believed me. She's a lonely old dear at times and is very vulnerable at the moment, this kind of thing makes me real vexed.

  Wow Batty, I read your post and had no idea what you were on about.

    Now it has become clear,unfortunately your Mom is not alone as this is an all to common thing these days and they prey on the vulnerable. My wife sees this almost on a daily basis in here work.

  All you can do is try to protect her from this by any means at your disposal.
