Unperk the F4U-4 (and others)

I love the F4U-4 and would like to use it more often. I propose unperking (or reducing the perks) when taking off of a cv only. This way I'll have something to counter the LA7's. However, I am not recommending to unperk the -4 when lifting off a land based field.

Umm no, CV or land makes no difference the plane is still the same.

No.  The F4U-4 is the most potent piston engined fighter in the game, far better than the F4U-1C, Tempest Mk V and Spitfire Mk XIV.

Arguable, but whatever.



If you really want something to counter enemy Lala's, then just do what I did when I felt like messing around with defenders, or just really wanted to fly a 109 in a carrier fight: Ferry over a 109K, or something like that over to the CV, park, apply breaks and kill engine, and go afk for 5-10 until the mission you're planning on helping is ready.

The F4U-4 is not to be underestimated.  It has far more capability than most give it credit for.  Top speed is not the only attribute it has.  It truly is probably the best fighter in the game.  It is perked for a reason.

If you un-perk F4U-4 it would probably be used far more than the P-51D.   :bolt:

f4u4 unperked = welcome to the UFO4u4 arena...  you can already see dozens of them in one place when the jokers are vulching...   lol!
the K4 works fine enough against La7s, also gives you a load of perks    //hint, hint     :)

Unperk the whole plane set. I get killed by I16 as easily as by 262's and Tiffs.
Seriously dont see point of perking. other than to give the uberiest sticks the uberiest rides, and to keep the riff raff from all upping 262's :joystick: :airplane:
