I seem to recall in the old 8 man arenas you could change ammo load out for endless ammo and hardness of targets. Am I remembering that right? Did that code that was used for the unlimited bombs in that F4U on YouTube come from there? If so maybe that is why that arena is gone. When I hear change weight of the plane. They are talking about for instance an F6F with a 2000 hp engine and a weight of 13.000 pound would clime at so many feet per minute.

So if that same plane with the same 2000 hp engine had a weight of say 5000 pound that would totally change the clime rate along with everything else. Am I understanding this correctly?  I am no computer guy and all this still looks like magic to me so I am asking. Ever since I been playing this game I have heard about weights and code to change it. Wouldn't the use of a code show up some place even if that code was HTC's ?

Yes R105, that's the kind of thing they are talking about. This is just me speculating and not HTC's comments, but it is educated speculation:-

That code which we all saw working on the YouTube video was undoubtedly external to the Aces High executable. It probably tinkered around with memory contents while AH was running.

That having happened once, it would be trivial for HTC to add code to catch this and they have undoubtedly done so. Thus yes, it is technically possible to alter the weight of your plane and the amount of ordinance & ammunition you can carry and then fly in the MA, probably for something approaching up to several seconds before the tinkering is noticed by AcesHigh.exe and your 'banThisCheatingMoFoForLife' variable gets set to 'true', then you are gone and never heard of again. Ever.  :rofl

I know HTC is all over this kind of shenanigans like a rash  :aok

Based on this and all other overwhelming evidence, the defense rests.  There can be no other finding than the implicated party simply being guilty of awesome skill -- and the voices on said film being lesser skilled pilots who were unknowingly awed by the presence of a FPH.

They knew not what they saw and are most certainly now humbled by the tactical skill of the BEST, imho, squad in Aces High and its CO.

Bring on the pies, and at my special request, DrTopbum :huh, et all, are invited as well to the upcoming verdict.
Therefore, all are welcome!

We did it, Bruv!   :rock

PS: I will, sadly, not be able to join said celebration as I have SA, shooting, and ACM skills that need substantial work and practice.   :joystick:

25 kills and 5 assists in a Spitfire Mark I, never killed, never bailed and he gets a Bronze SEC Medal?   What the heck do you have to do for the Silver?

Being in the squad of the guy who runs it would probably help  :aok
Did you see my dad on dogfights yet?
I'll be seeing you face to face possibly next month.

it was bronze with oak leaves, highest ever given!

Look under rules http://flyboys.info/?page_id=13

INDIVIDUAL PILOT AWARDS

    SEC badge BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD
    SEC wings BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD
    SEC medal BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD with bar
    SEC medal BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD with swords
    SEC medal BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD with leaves
SEC Distinguished Service Medal: Awarded for
    distinguished leadership in action.
    BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD
SEC Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD

    EXTRA:

The SEC Valor Medal BRONZE/SILVER/GOLD is
awarded for acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances
that are considered worthy of recognition.

The Math behind the Pilots Medals and Badges
Add your kills plus 0,5 per assist
Devide the score by 4 if you died once,
devide by 2 for a safe bailed.
Example:
A pilots scored 18 Kills and 8 Assists in 3 frames,
killed once, and safty bailed one time
makes 22 points. 22 div by 4 = 5,5 being killed once
and 5.5 / 2 = 2,75 because bailed one time safly
Another one scored 13 Kills and 10 Assists,
but never being killed and bailed one time
makes 18 devided by 2. So its 9 points for him
So more kills doesent mean getting the higher Award!
Same Procedure for Bomber Pilots but destroyed Objects will be scored dividing by 3

9 Objects destroyed calculated with 3 Points

Squadron Awards score will be calculated by adding all scores(Kill = 1, Assits = 0.5, Object destroyed = 0.33)  multiplied with the Squadron Pilots/Death ratio (# Pilots divided by Death, where bail ditch counts as killed) of each frame. The sum of all frames are the Squadron score for each SEC

Squadrons, which shows outstanding service over a longer time might be decorated with awards like the Long Service Medal

The best squad in game is The GFC because we are aware of our limitations and act accordingly :old:

I had a dream about DrBone,Spek and Uncle Bone after seeing their visages :old:

Running and falling featured a lot  in said dream :cry

So you are telling me Bruv is not real and his awesome skills are not real?  How are his skills any different in this game than a Chess champion or various sports heros in their games?  It takes real skill, real smarts, and real strength of character to be among the best fighter pilot heros or sports heros.  This "game" is just as serious and "real" as any other game... it's about fun and the tactics / wits of men and women to better their opponent resulting in the excitement and rewards of the "win".  My fighter pilot heros, carefully selected, being among the best there are -- with Bruv119 the bestest among them. :aok

Read what HiTech, the creator, said on Bruv's multiple TOC awards: "Honour and Respect"

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,305001.msg4094306.html#msg4094306
(Image removed from quote.)

So, the next time you watch a baseball game, or a football game.... and think of the heros of the game... remember to place the mighty Bruv119 in a similar spot, along with other fighter pilot heros of the game of Aces High...  They are awesome pilots.  Many observers have even attributed, with serious and from the heart voices, supernatural abilities to FPHs like Bruv such as changing the weight of his aeroplane at will, yet it's all ------> awesome skill <-----.  Listen to the video in the OP or watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awqPvL1Fs14
and tell me they are not fully in awe of what they see and have seen.  :uhoh

... and as far as uniforms... how many people do you see buying and wearing the jerseys or hats of their sports heros?  Is a fighter pilot hero's awesomeness not worthy of similar honours? :)

:old:  Skill, awesomeness, and strength of character should be respected in any difficult and challanging game, including Aces High.

As far as your hero, Chuck Norris... a fine man, one I respect also,... but... I choose someone better, stronger, faster, and more skilled than your karate fighting hero...  someone you've likely heard of.

(Image removed from quote.)

So, I'll see your Chuck Norris and I raise you a Bruce Lee...... could it be.... the equivelant of a Bruv119 in Aces High... :rock

(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)

Hope Chuck healed fast. :)

All the best...

  Midway :D

I'm afraid that you are way too far gone to respond to but here goes... I have no Heroes!  Lots of my squad have the img of the "Chuck Norris Approved Fist", but it's just for fun.  I don't care  how good any player is in here or in the real world.  I worship no man or woman who walks the earth.  Now I do respect players in here and folks in real life but it is a great difference between worship and respect.  I really think that you should get a real life and maybe the hero worship will subside.

All the Best...
