Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd. Why not set a time  and a day and get a feww folks in there? Some will like it some wont. You like the 1v1 right? rarely do I have to wait long before someone sees me in the AVA and comes in for a some fights, and we get some 1v1s on then more people sjoin becasue they se 2 in there next thing ya know youve got a good little fight going on in there.

sounds like it would work....doesn't though....


ya I like a good 1vs1 but never have I said that's all that it should be.....I am an MA guy I love the variety the MA brings, (for the most part)

I actually don't like the "realistic" plane set as a daily flying sorta thing....I much more enjoy the free for all MA....and FSO (when I was in them)  was a great time, but I would not want that every time I fly.

Well heres the challenge why dont all you studs that are tired of  the  unwashed masses in the MA  try the AVA for a week?

Been there done that.   The AVA regulars are considerably less than welcoming.  And hey that's ok, they got a tight little club there, as it is ok for me to decline.

I really like the idea of Axis vs Allies too.  That allows for just a bit more "pretend" I'm a fighter pilot.

the night we had No icon battle inplace of FSO...I got more kills then both sides....no icons has nothing to do with it....and I thought they put icons back on?

Yes, because your video hardware and whatever settings you've turned on/off in specific combinations to give you the maximum ability to see other planes should be the main determining factor in your combat effectiveness. 

This post I am replying to is a large part of the reason why AvA stands empty.

This kind of stuff is one of the main reasons why I stopped visiting the AvA at all.

That's one thing I never saw a reason for, was when they made it so the custom arena guys don't have the ability to go no icon.  I don't think the player numbers restriction on the custom arenas would be an issue, and it would give you guys the gameplay you desire.

I believe the arena is back to no enemy icons, short friendly icons.

HamHawk's playful enthusiasm probably shouldn't be taken as seriously as some are taking it.  His suggestion, and mine, were made because people were complaining about current MA play standards.  We thought you might like to try something else.  If you don't, you don't, easy as that.

I found the opposite, we brought a few squaddies in there, split up the sides to even it out and had a blast.  All that were there were very welcoming.
