Front I/O panl sound plugin issue

I plug in my Fata1ity headphones into the front audio/mic jack, however today my headphones dropped off my desk and not  sure what happen exactly, but now the autio (not the mic) jack seems to be acting weird, I have to press down on the auto plug adapter to get the PC to recognize the plug being put in - if I let go it disappears.

I think it somehow got bent or not sure what the deal is, is there any way to fix this? the Microphone jack is not a problem, simply plug it in gently and it works, the audio however unless you bend the end down it will not pick it up (tried two sets of headphones).

trying to find the part maybe I can replace it but no luck so far, my headphones got damaged as well - left ear does not work now which sucks they are a month old.

After closely examining it, it looks like the pin that touches the audio jack got bent, is there any way to straighten it out?

A crochet hook, a needle, a tiny screwdriver, a bent paper clip. I'd prefer the paper clip, you can bend it just right to reach behind the pin in question. A loupe and a spotlight could be of help, too.

Open your email and write to rma@nzxt.com about replacement parts. Your manual has that information but does not include information about what parts might be available.

Or you could purchase a separate front side panel for the 5-1/2" bays.

I found the part information, I tried to repair the stupid thing but it didn't work, its NZXT hj705-01g .

Hopefully their support center can sell me the item, for some reason this front Mic/headphone jack is far louder then the rear Audio which is why I want it.

I use the rear jacks on my Lexa S. Loud enough for me, just have to change the volumes with your sound driver program.

While you're discussing audio plugs, this might help some.

I have Realtek audio on my ASUS Sandybridge motherboard. I was surprised when both the mic and stereo sound were working in my cheap Radio Shack headset, when ONLY the speaker connection was plunged into the front panel speaker port. Very handy when you use a 20 ft mini 8 stereo extension cord, amazing technology.

Just awesome, contacted NZXT and they were willing to 2 day ship me a replacement piece for no cost, they get some bad reviews but I think they are absolutely outstanding for this.

shoot i have only had to rma a ps to nzxt and i got a new one that I could pick up with no problems.  I didnt even have a receipt but td who sold it to me came to the rescue.

I may have to look into this since I have the same case and mine has random issues but turning the plug a little tends to fix it.  Also, one of the kids pushed too hard on the power button a while back and it actually pushed into the case.  I was able to take it apart and clip it back into place, but one of the clips is slightly broken and I have to take great care when turning on the system.

The power on reset button is different then the USB/Audio/e-sata part - it comes as a small microboard that can be unscrewed and slide out from inside the case, the only draw back to this is the fact you have to take out anything in the second and third tier to deal with it or you can't see inside.

However this microboard is quite easy to deal with, I took it apart and tried to repair the audio but no use, NZXT plans to ship me one hopefully, which takes 2-3 minutes to replace.

They do sell the front panal although I am not sure entirely why, other spare parts like this one I have are not available for purchase online or i'd surely probably buy 2-3 of them given mine was a small accident.
