When one of these flys over a carrier group and snaps a picture the CV showns up on the clipboard with a circle that slowly expands to show the possable location of the group
After about 10minutes the CV dissapears from the clipboard

right and the ack wont kill the airplane within 2 seconds.

U.S. Navy PBY's would be nice to have in the game. Be able to "launch" from ports only! I know that it is a slow aircraft, but the water landings and takeoffs would be fun. What would spoil that picture are the "Ponie, Wolf's, and Needlenose's would get easy kills. Put some bombs and rockets on it for PT boats or any other ship for that matter. Doubt it will ever happen though, Hi Tech has made it clear that he is interested mainly in "stick and rudder" fights. Try a "Storch" sometime for prowling around the sea's. Not very easy to see against the water. All the ports, as far as I know, all have "Storch" hangars on them.

None of these planes give you any tactical support like what percentage of town building are down or how many ack guns are still up

Understood.  I was pointing out that your request didn't require new airplanes to be added as some were suggesting.

People complained about how hard it was to see if the town was down, so HTC added the huge white flag so you won't have to actually do any real work or communicate with your teammates. Now you want something else to tell you how many guns are still up? Just fly over them and see what shoots at you...and then shoot back at them.

To me, part of the charm is the uncertainty; it makes you cooperate with others.

think about it, you want a slow plane to go over town and take a picture while there's enemy fighters over it.  by the time it gets back to base the town would have changed.  besides who wants to look at a picture when all you have to do is look out the window for yourself.
