Meh big deal I used to be able to post to usenet (including moderated forums) and send email from a csh shell sending ascii characters directly to the network interface.  Manually playing with a web server isn't much different except the verbosity can be annoying and they don't all play by the rules so you might need more than one cheat sheet.  But telnetting into various ports can be a really amusing way to spend a rainy day.

Still, if your gadget does everything you want, then stick with it.

That's ok, I responded because
1:  I was also bored
2:  I'm a jerk sometimes
3:  I sometimes can't resist talking about the good old days when "you damn kids" brag on your gadgets especially when you discover something neat that I did 20 years ago with 1/1000th of the computing power

Have a nice day :)

Anyone else ever build or use a SAP1 Computer?
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.
