Glad I know most of them from shooting traps so I have no trouble
Bingo! you "know them". How many others just dont like them cause they dont like authority figures giving them traffic tickets? Or cause they read a few headlines?
How would you feel towards the average LEO if the overwhelming majority of people who've wronged you did it while wearing a badge?
I think your mindset would be just like mine.
I think maybe you need to talk to someone, and maybe medication. Its sounds like your not only a "Copoholic" but also suffer from "Copaphobia". Are you certain its not the entire world out to get you? Its the newspapers you know. Of course the movies and gun culture play a role in Copoholicism. But the print press is so desperate, "they know their on the way out" anything "coppie" and negative gets splashed on the front pages. Whether true or not. Everyone has been in a situation with the Police that hasnt gone their way, "and of course its Not THEIR fault"
, the papers fly off the shelf with a "cop did this" headline on it. When was the last time you saw an "Office Exonerated" on a front page? Then the stupid movies and ridiculous TV shows further reinforce this sillyness with even more sillyness. The only one even close to being true was "The Wire". Oh and I watch "Longmire" too but thats just to get wood over Katee Sackhoff with my "back seat of the squad car on midnights" fantasy.
I shouldn't have to ask them to take their hand off of their gun in the first place. The founders never wanted a police state and the citizens should stop tolerating it instead of embracing it.
Dude Ive been at this 28 years, AND, 4 years in USAF. 18 mos of them in Turkey under Martial Law where the Police and Military had NO constraints. So you couldnt possibly believe how silly that stuff sounds to me. Over there they would shoot you simply for running from them. At a road check they would have a tank sitting there swiveling the turret around at you.
You have no idea what a GD Police State is. Being in America you only know what living in a "Criminal State" is like. Vets like this Marine probably know what Im talking about. Theres nothing like a few years in uniform, in a craphole, to change your perspective on America.
Flench buddie. I couldnt imagine anyone playing the "redneck role" in MS.
Ive lost two personal friends killed with their own guns. Two guys I knew and worked with, one of the nights I was there right after it happened. Ive survived two serious attempts at disarment, and dont even talk about the shooting incidents Ive had. When Im around people, or even when Im not, the hand usually finds itself retaining my .45 . When a citizen walks by and hears my "good morning sir" they look befuddled, or at least more so then usual. That happens when the person doesnt fit the profile theyv been brainwashed with. Sort of like the racist who knows of one good person of every race they dont like.
But in mindlessly disliking complete strangers just for their jobs or the uniform they wear means you have become the very person you say you despise.
