anyone been discoed and got back in yet?
« on: July 18, 2012, 04:32:20 AM »
this is one of the more innovative additions in the last patch,   I rarely get dropped out and apart from turning my router off and on I was wondering whether anyone has had it work as intended?

In scenarios this will be really useful assuming your plane doesnt get killed whilst she is climbing  :aok

I just tried it in the EW arena and it did not work.

To be exact the disco part of it DID work  :D, but despite returning into the arena within about one minute, this part: "If you return to the arena within the 5 minute window and your plane was not shot down, it will automatically respawn your flight and replace the AI drone with your plane." never happened.

And no, I was not using alt-F4, it was a regular disco.

What happens if you get discoed in flight by an arena change? If you log back in are you still flying but over a new map? Or does it take longer than 5 mins for the arena to reset?

An arena reset from server side is not a disco in game terms.

"The disco feature is currently disabled".

Too bad this arena message does only show up in LW not in EW

Is an 'Aces High has stopped working' event considered a disco?
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

How did you test it?

By killing my DSL connection while flying in EW. Got "Lost USP, switching to TCP", them "Host connection lost". Reestablished connection, restarted AH, entered EW. Nothing happened then.
My score card shows the disco.

Actually, there was a bug.  My fault.  I fat fingered a copy of one file.

I was discoed tonight while flying to a friendly base. When I logged back on within a minute I was in the tower, not my B-17s.

I like songs about drivin trucks and I don't make a whole lotta bucks but I know enought to know that disco sucks.  :rock
