I tried it too, offline. Sure you can kill tanks, but the Ju 87G-2 guns are far more effective....

But the gun is bigger!  :x

I think that's the main reason why I saw so many more 410 lifting to attack tanks than 87G's last night....  ;)

Mixed feelings on the 410. It accelerates slowly and takes a long time to get to its relatively decent top speed.  Climb rate is so so. It has relatively poor elevator authority and does not pull out of a fast dive very well. If you lose one of the two elevators, your hosed, because it then really sucks in turns and I mean bad.

It’s fairly good for stall fighting, but by no means a turn fighter. I can certainly see this being the choice bird for porkers however who are looking to level bases. But I find them easy to kill, so yippee!!!

When fighting 410’s, what I'm finding is they will generally try hard to turn into you to HO you, depending on the devastating canon load and start spraying from 1200 out. I'm mean the freaking thing carries 1500 20 mm's!! Plus a set of four decent machine guns (more than 6 spits)!!

They will fight vertically, until they start getting slow, then expect the 410 to fall off rapidly to the right. Spin recovery is similar to the Mossie and even the flat spin is pretty easy to get out of. At low speeds, while scissoring, it has the same nasty habit of FW's which is to snap over inverted at low speed, close to the ground. Gets ugly fast!

Overall, I think they will end up being nice crunchy fighter snacks.

PS., if you aren't paying attention, the 410's rear guns might scratch your planes paint.

When I fly it, I'll be hunting buffs.  Sawed a Lanc in half from the low 12 position today.

The 410 is very affective for me atleast. I have yet to try it on a tiger or panther though.

I flew the 410 some off line and it was about what I expected. As twin engine fighters go the 410 is far behind the P-38 Mosquito and the ME-110 in flying characteristics as I see it. I could pull out of a flat spin in it but is takes a while to get speed up. Better start from a grid away if you want altitude and enough speed to bomber hunt in it. Now the gun package is another story especially the 20mm pack and I would advise against Hoing it. It is very lethal and made short work of killing a bomber drone..

I shot at drone tanks and had  so so luck killing one with the big gun and it was worthless on the Tiger for me. I flew to an enemy base to deack with it. I did get hit with auto ack more than I do in say the 110 or any single engine fighter I have used to kill ack. I still would rather deack with rockets on a P-51. HTC did a great job on the plane itself with the cockpit and over all attention to detail and I suspect they have the flight modeling spot on from what I read on the ME-410 in operation with the Luftwaffe. I think I will try out the new JU-87 today.

I will never fly this Narzzie plane but will hunt it down with glee in my Typhoon :old:
