I'm having same issue, but before I go download the hires pack, my patches.txt says:

HRP2270TO2280.EXE
HRP2270TO2280.EXE
HRP2270TO2280.EXE

<edit> installed texture pack, logged into game, quit game, got 'aces high will now terminate to install patch' message.   emptied out patches.txt file, logged into game, quit game, no message.  Thanks!

Pyro I had the same fix on that ...

HRP2270TO2280.EXE

Removed that from the patches.txt and it worked flawlessly, no Installing hi-res after shutting game down.

This happened to me with the previous update and today's update.  It looks like the hires patch never executes.  After the hires patch downloads ( by logging into the app and waiting for 20 minutes ) there's a message that you need to exit to allow the patch to install.  It never installs automatically.

Auto-download worked AOK for me Thursday 5 August for HiRes pack. It did stop once but resumed and loded OK and received a message saying so.
Did it in the TA for what it's worth.

Dont' get me wrong, I think HTC is a GREAT outfit , but man, doesn't ANYBODY beta-test these
patches we get to patch patches?

I installed the manual way too.  I just wanted to report what I found.

You guys having this issue, is there anything unusual about your Windows 7 configuration?  Like do you have multiple users or anything unusual about your user account?

Can one of you who has had this problem yesterday and got the message that the download was complete, look in your Aces High folder and see if there is a file named HRP2280TO2284.EXE.  If there is, please run it and see if the installer will run manually and let me know.  Please let me know right away if it's there and if it runs.  Thanks.

Also, are you running any security software such as Norton or McAfee?
