Me410 rear guns - can you explain?
« on: July 23, 2012, 10:49:32 AM »
Can someone explain how to use the Me410 rear guns?
I have flown the 410 but I still am a bit confused.

Do they all fire at once?
Do they all fire rearward and downward?
Do you have to dive to get someone on your high six in a firing solution?

Can you guys explain how you use the rear guns.

Thanks

The #2 position is the main gun sight and controller and fires both guns using the "fire all" command if they both bear on the target or just one gun if the target is off to one side. Positions #3 and #4 show the individual guns with a gun sight and fires only that gun using "primary fire" or "fire all". Note that "primary fire" does not work in position #2.

You have three gunsights controlling two 13mm guns.  Depending on arc of fire, each station can fire one or both guns at the same time using the "fire all" command.
