Would love to see the Re.2005 in game. A good fighter for the later Mediterranean special events, more than capable in the MA, and helps fill out the Italian plane set. Only problem I see with it is the limited number of them produced, just slightly more than the Ta-152 from the sources I have found. However I will admit that I have not found a great deal of information on the Re. 2005....I am sure someone here has a better idea of how many were produced.

Numbers for 2005 are rather low, I put it under 75 built and above 50, far as I know no Italian squadron used it - I believe what aircraft were built probably flew for the Luftwaffe.

Biggest problem is it was to complex to build and took to long to manufacture, Luftwaffe wanted nothing of it since the 109K could be produced in triple numbers compared to one Re.2005.

I'll have to see which Luftwaffe unit used it, I can't recall specific details on it - I do know the G.55 series flew quite a bit more combat and scored over 100 victories, Re.2005 on other hand I can't get much info on it.

titanic3,

Don't think Do335 is eligible.

Also add the J2M3 or J2M5, Fairey Firefly, SB2C Helldiver, B7A2 'Grace', A-26, Ki-102 'Randy' and Tu-2.

Ah, did a quick google search and

"Delivery commenced in January 1945. When the United States Army overran the Oberpfaffenhofen factory in late April 1945, only 11 Do 335 A-1 single-seat fighter-bombers and two Do 335 A-12 trainers had been completed." I could've sworn I read somewhere that the Do-335 saw action (figured if the Ta-152 is here, Do-335 could be too).

"French ace Pierre Clostermann claimed the first Allied combat encounter with a Pfeil in April 1945. In his book The Big Show (pages 273-274) he describes leading a flight of four Hawker Tempests from No. 3 Squadron RAF over northern Germany, when he intercepted a lone Do 335 flying at maximum speed at treetop level. Detecting the British aircraft, the German pilot reversed course to evade. Despite the Tempest's considerable low altitude speed, the RAF fighters were not able to catch up or even get into firing position."

Not sure if that counts as combat.

Anyways, it would be a very fun plane to have no doubt.

Also add the J2M3 or J2M5, Fairey Firefly, SB2C Helldiver, B7A2 'Grace', A-26, Ki-102 'Randy' and Tu-2.

Yes, all of those are great MA planes.  :aok

Mosquito FB XVIII : we have no uboats for it to attack. It would be unhistorically used to hunt bombers, IMO. It's a bit of a corruption of history to want this in the game as we stand now.

Re2000: Only 170 built, and all served non-Italian forces (it was an export only).
Re2001: Only 252 built of which 150 were specifically night fighters. Impact on the war was minimal at best.
Re2005: A non entity. Less than 50 built, grounded until the tail could be kept from ripping off, and by the time it was ungrounded Italy was out of the war. It wasn't a front line plane, and you could debate that it wasn't even a production plane.

P-51C: 100%, absolutely identical to the P-51B, but given a C instead to denote it was built at a different production plant.

C.714: So woefully inadequate that everybody that had even small numbers (not many were built) removed them from duty before WW2 really started. They were unreliable, underpowered, and obsolete. Only a Polish squadron or two flew them after being ordered to stop, because they literally had nothing else to fly. Really one of the most obscure planes in WW2 and not even worth consideration.

Do-17: Obsolete before the war, even during the Spanish Civil War, this plane was the weakest and slowest bomber Germany had to offer. By the battle of Britain, it had very small numbers in the fleet and those numbers were all but wiped out before it was withdrawn from active duty entirely. It serves no role in AH (not even in scenarios) and would have no role outside very limited BOB participation. This plane is a nonentity also. Better to request He-111, or Ju-88A-1

IK-3: Never made the war. 6 built. Only 20 ordered before Yugoslavia was invaded. Where are you getting these from, even??

The above planes shouldn't be part of the poll.

Your only real suggestions are:

Beaufighter
He111
C.200
Z.1007 (although why this instead of the SM.79 is a mystery)
Ki-27
P-51A (this should be A-36, instead)

I think tanks, its originally intended targets, would be the primary victim in AH.  In reality by the time it was ready the RAF had decided guns were not the way aircraft should handle tanks, so they gave them to coastal command.  A number of freighters, U-Boats, destroyers and one Ju88C were destroyed by them.
