Thank you Bish the "Monster Mission" last night
« on: July 28, 2012, 07:19:27 AM »
Want to say thank you bish for joining the mission last night, we had about 70 pilots in the mission.  All bombers made it home (yes, lost a few drones).  BIG TIME SALUTE to the Devils and all the guys that ran block for us.  The fake out to 65 worked like a charm.  I counted only 4 enemy cons into the bomber stream and we airrated there cockpit for them LOL.

They were at 10K and announced it on channel 200 several times by multiple people.

Nice.  Curious as to why there was not a swarm of Me262's intercepting them???  That's where I would have been.   :aok

About 23-24K actually. Perfect alt as it turned out.  10K would have been a slaughter. 23-24K is real tough to kill bombers at even if you're in a high-altitude plane. I thought I was being clever upping a 262, next time I'll try the 152.

Long, long fight too trying to pick them off as they RTB'ed. A bunch of interceptors showed up but the B24s kept a very tight formation, except for one low one who was down around 15K. I'd be surprised if the low one made it back but the tight formation up high made it really tough.

<<S>> Bish, great stuff.

I was on the mission, the majority of us were at 10k the entire time. Some of the interceptors may have been higher or the tail bombers formations. It was definatly 10k for the big group though.

The bombers were level at 10K. The escorts were anywhere from 10K to 30K.
