Been thinking about this. The largest runway at each three field types is the same size, about?
Could maybe, at some point in the distant future (ie: next terrain update), medium fields maybe get a 500-1000 foot extension and large airfields have one of their primary runways an additional 500-1000 feet above the upgraded medium runways?
I give! I surrender! I won't ask again! While having a in-flight dialog with Dhawk and some other guys, the subject came up about the length of the runways in Aces High. So, being curious and such, I decided I was going to measure the runways to see how long they were. A Jeep in Aces High has a speedometer and if it is accurate, (which I doubt), here are my test results. (After 2 hours worth of testing) Test was carried out by getting a run at the runway and being right on 60MPH from one end to other end of runway. (1 minute, of course is 5,280 feet long, at 60MPH)
Small field---6600 feet long
Medium field---long runway, 7920 feet, cross or small runway, same as small field.
Large field-- East-West runway, 6600 feet, 2 longest runways, 7920 feet long.
Carrier- 660 feet long from stern to bow.(let you guys guess how I measured this)
Crusier-- Don't really care!!!!
