The XIV isn't that fast and it would be less likely to run than it is while perks are on the line.  There would, however, be more of them.

So what's one more bird running away?  If nothing else folks will get  confused and turn fight in the thing.  Then they'll forget that the engine torque is the other direction from the Merlin Spits and really screw themselves up.

I have been flying it a bit this tour and I can not see a real reason for it to have a perk.

I don't care if I die and lose 10 perks before anyone brings that up. I just cannot see how it is perked and the spit 16 is not.

I think in the right hands and against the right opponents its perk is justified, but I wish it was less, or better even if your countries ENY value was ~1.2 or more its cost was free.

Two things: It does not run away, it runs up.  The perk is justified, it's a monster (and I love it).  I use it to go after high alt buff raids with escorts, then hunt the escort planes.  Brutalizer up high.

Perk status totally unjustified , particularly when you look at actual usage and success in the arena. Spit 16 is actually the better plane under usual MA conditions.

+1 on removing perk status. Free Fourteen!

 I find the Spit 14 a harder plane to fly than any other Spitfire in the game. It is almost impossible to get it out of a flat spin. I would jump over the Spit 14 to fly the 8 or 16. I have no clue why that plane in perked. The Spit16 needs perked way more than the 14 I think it is by far the better bird.

So the Bf109K-4 and La-7 should be as well?  What about the Spitfire Mk VIII?  It is only slightly behind the Spitfire Mk XVI in acceleration and climbing.

You want these perked even though the P-51D in your signature has much, much higher usage?  What should be done about that?

I was in a Hurricane today and a P40 with alt turned and ran from a 1 on 1. It gets worse every day. Is school out?

I woudn't mind seeing the 14 unperked for now.

Un perk it and give it six months. If the numbers show that it's a monster, re-perk it.
