For instance, here's a GREAT recipe! ( I can't cook, but this guy can)

Pork loin was marinaded for 3 hours in Olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, Red Wine vinegar, a touch of sugar and fresh herb sprigs that I had picked from my garden (basil, thyme, rosemary, and sage).  Seared on all sides then moved to cooler area of the grill to slow cook for an hour.  After just getting to safe temp I let them rest for 1/2 hour before slicing very thin for serving.

Without a doubt the best, juiciest pork loin I ever made.


The kabob ingredients (chicken, steak, peppers, onions, tomatoes) were prepped on Thursday and allowed to marinade for 2 days in a doctored up Italian dressing mixture.  Found some fresh corn from a local farm and decided to cut and add.  Assembled on site and grilled for your pleasure.

The bacon wrapped drums are a winner

Bacon wrapped drumsticks

Make a seasoning for your drums.  I used my dry rub of brn sugar, caribbean jerk, jamaica all spice, garlic powder, black pepper, crushed red pepper, cayanne pepper, etc. Add or nix whatever you want. The brown sugar is the base so its about 1/2 of the blend.  Get a spoon and taste it if you never have made it.  It's hard to mess up.
Coat your drums and rub it all over.
Wrap them with bacon starting at the thin part and overlap it so it will stay.  Then stck a toothpick in the top when you are done.

Put more seasoning on them now that the bacon is on.
Throw em on da grill.
Get your sauce going.  I mixed half a jar of BBQ sauce(I used Stubbs Spicy today), some syrup, a little mustard, onion, a smashed garlic clove, some root beer(beer is good too).  Don't let your dog knock it off the grill.
I like to brush them 4-6 times with sauce the last 10 minutes I cook em.
