SSD on sale at Newegg

If anyone is interested. Newegg.com has Seagate 500GB, 7200 RPM
internal SSD's for $69.00.

Yeah those are somewhat misleading unless you really read the real scoop on them. The drives only have a 4GB SSD built into them. Still it is a good deal on a decent drive but if you are looking for a true SSD I would steer clear.

the current hybrid drives aren't too bad. haven't tried a desktop model recently but i have a laptop with one in it and the performance is noticeable. still not as good as a full ssd though.

I prefer having a separate SSD & 2TB Conventional. If one fails, replace it & don't crash everything together.IMO  :salute
I am using Crucial without any complaints & the price is right....
