You have to think of what you're saying here. No one 'deserves' to die, even if they are acting dangerously.
Example: On this past Monday night, a car with four kids from my town crashed at 100mph into another car coming from the opposite direction at 50mph. 6 people were killed, 3 of whom I knew.
They were being irresponsible and reckless, but did they deserve to die?
It is tragic that a life has been lost, but nothing can justify that. We've played this game with the Russians and you bet F-15s were harrassing those Bears. I live on Otis ANGB and there are pictures all over town of our Eagles as close as 30yds away from the tail of the Russian bomber. (this is an estimate, but most likely pretty close) Finally, an accident does happen - I don't personally agree with how the Chinese have acted in this situation but the truth will come to light eventually.
