I hear that.  Have experienced that so many times when taking a P-40 or some other third tier plane to make a slow circle at 3k, far away from an enemy field.  Most times, nobody ups at all.  That wasn't the case here.  The bad guys had a cap going.  I chose to shoot at vulchers looking for easy kills, as opposed to being an easy kill.

People are going to gang, vulch and everything else - and in late war monsters, to boot.  They get mad when instead of getting their name in lights, they get a complimentary 37mm enema.  Killing vulchers is the real sport of Kings.  :aok

Pro vulchers deack all 37mms first  :devil

Caldera who was it!!!

Do you actually believe that I took the trouble to obscure the perpetrator's name, only to tell you who it is?

Not too difficult to figure out...
You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

You can narrow it down to a few suspects, but the purpose is to make people laugh - not to shame anyone here.  Otherwise, the name wouldn't have been blacked out and the thread locked in short order.

No, vulching of fighters on rearm pad is, a favourite pasttime of mine. No other target yells more "SHOOT ME" to me, particularly when hangars and ords are up and there is no reason to ream but one...  :noid  :devil
So tell me, how do you vulch from 30K?   :bolt:

B-29.  25k is more than enough, though.  Drop some bombs and hope somebody decides to up 30 seconds later.
That's vulching with style.

No damage points.  :D

Sometimes, no planes happen to be on the runway and you have to settle for trucks.

I've seen this tactic used for dropping hangars too. Why you need 20+ peeps in missions. Have to factor in 5-6 guys fighting the stationary targets and losing.

BTW Caldera, stop vulching your own runway in the manned gun. Even though it's fun to shoot squadies/friendlies taking off. They soon catch on to who it is. :D

Doesn't matter, I still will shoot you. :)

Fair enough, when I let you go after a collision which damaged you and you ignored me when I wished you luck in getting back to land, I should, by your analagy have shot you down? :aok

I have to admit don't remember any such PM.
It's not that you should have shot me down (it's not me to tell you what you should do or not), but you clearly could have shot me down, and for sure I would not have been complaining about that. Any player with a red icon is a legit target, but it's each player's own choice to let some targets go.
And it's each players own responsibility to keep up his SA when sitting on the rearm pad :)

Danny once collided with me and wished me luck on landing. Such a nice fellow. Although I never replied either, I was fighting to stay in the air.  :joystick:
