im not to sure about it. but i recall hearing that the us wants to/are building long range missile sites on russias front door.  I believe the russians do not like that.  if i remember correctly they said they will do a pre-emptive strike if we continue. If russia wanted to build some missile silos in say, cuba, what would our attitude be then?

Russia doesn't like anything we do.  Except for a few exceptions like how more Ak-47s are produced for the US consumer market than for all Russia's military and police combined.
