Calling all WWII aviation enthusiasts within practical distance of the Ventura, CA area this weekend....

There will be numerous mustangs for our theme (including the best

), all of our own aircraft (F6F, F8F, A6M3, P-51D, Yak-3, Spit14...), our local EAA chapter (their resident B-25), a large number coming in from our friends out at Chino (P-40, P-47, F7F Tigercat, P51s, F4U, P-38, the Flying Wing), a Super Hornet from NAS Lemoore, and a large number of other warbirds and acrobatics performers will be present on both days.
Currently work is being finished to make the scheduled re-debut of our PT-19 that's been down for a lengthy overhaul, our Spit 14 has just finished it's annual and sounds as wicked as ever, and we'll be selling rides all weekend and until the sun goes down in the T-6 Texans, PT-19 (most likely) and P-51D Man-O-War (check with your CPAs, we're a NPO).
This air show is unfortunately one of the few that is not free, (15$ GA, -12 free, see site for more info) as it's held on private (Ventura County MA Authority) property and all expenses (from trash to fuel) need to be covered by the event. All proceeds (if any

) go to the aircraft, performers, and our resident military aviation museum.
Given the heat of mid-summer, Camarillo is ideal for this time of year and an air show, with its close proximity to the coast offering some relief and about 20-30 cooler temperatures than further inland. If it still happens to get too hot along the runway in the afternoon, bring your shorts and towel and drive a few minutes further down to the beach. Good outdoor summertime fun to be had by all!
