Tiny Shida might resemble Winston Churchill, but he will learn the words "Hayate" and will will honor the Bushido code flying the Nakajima Ki-84.

maybe ink can donate a tiny sword for tiny Shida, who knows his first words might be Banzai!

You'd better make that two pints Ruah, we've just spent 5 hours in the NICU, Tiny Shida is suddenly off the CPAP and on the flowsnor (sorry don't know the English), looking around, grasping my fingers and generally acting like a real baby only smaller. Today he had his first drink of milk in his mouth, well more like a cat with a dippy tongue, he has to learn how to swallow and breathe at the same time yet.

If he continues this way without infection or problem we could be going back to our house, and him to a more local hospital (High Care department) within the week, touch wood.

Shizzle!

I've already got the sword covered, I'm trying to arrange to have Ink flown in to tattoo a Nakajima logo on his tiny baby arse  :rofl

Tomorrow, if the logistics go well, Tiny Shida will be moved from the Intensive Care Unit in Amsterdam to our local hospital's High Care Unit & Mrs. Shida and I can move back to our home. The little fella is doing great, topped 1750 grammes and is full of beans. We will miss all of the staff here but are pleased he no longer needs Intensive Care.

Thank you, all of you kind people, who have supported us and sent good wishes and prayers, here is a recent picture of the little man at the core of it all:-

A happy ending to this episode!
